Rare Breed Pigs Oxfordshire
Oxford Sandy & Black Pig Breeder
The Manorfields herd of Oxford Sandy and Black Pigs was established in 2004 as a continuation of a family tradition.
Peter’s grandfather, E.V. Holloway, whose family farmed for generations in the Wychwood Forest, Oxfordshire, was the last commercial breeder of Oxford Sandy and Black pigs in the 1950s, with amongst others the Duchess bloodline.
Peter is a past Chairman of the Oxford Sandy and Black Pig Society and is currently Treasurer. Pat is currently vice Chair and Show secretary of the Oxford Sandy and Black Pig Society.
We have 9 of the female Oxford Sandy and Black lines: Clare, Clarissa, Duchess, Sybil, Dandy, Gertrude, Iris, Gloria and Lady.
We have a Cynthia on order.
Our current boar lines are: Alexander, Clarence and Jack.
We are passionate about preserving all the lines and show annually around the country.
Please do contact us if you require any breeding stock or weaners for fattening.
We now have an additional "Iris" bloodline. Our gilt has just farrowed and had a fantastic litter of 12 piglets.
We invariably have young rare breed pig stock for sale which can be used for breeding as well as fattening.
